What's the Olive wood cluster
The Tunisian olive wood artifacts cluster was created by ACEA in 2019 and is focused on helping artisans develop and commercialize their products made of natural olive wood in two regions of Tunisia: Sfax and Sidi Bouzid.
The end goal is to export these high added-value products and thus build sustainable economic development.
The olive wood cluster works in two Tunisian governorates: Sfax and Sidi Bouzid, both located in central Eastern Tunisia.
This region was chosen for its abundance of high-quality olive wood as well as its deep knowledge of the wood-carving craft and immense ancestral know-how.
